This particular fault we found to be very serious and there is one real reason for this - inferior goods.

There has been an influx of cheap inferior consumer units flood the markets in the last few  years and this is the result of using an inferior product, this installation was only a year old and how this did not ignite is a near miracle!

This is an all too common fault, usually the shower stops working and the pull cord burning out is the first sign that the cable supplying the shower is too small. Electricians install 6 mm twin and earth which is fine for showers up to 7.5 Kw but anything above this needs to installed in 10 mm twin and earth and if not this is the end result.

Again a familiar situation, we constantly find ourselves having to rectify attempts by home owners at fixing or repairing electrical faults themselves and usually in most cases making the situation actually worse! Leave it to the people who know what they are doing!!
